Hershey Cause joins salute to new CEO of The California Wellness Foundation

Hershey Cause Communications Founder R. Christine Hershey joined California’s top nonprofit leaders in welcoming Judy Belk, the new President and CEO of HCC client The California Wellness Foundation (TCWF), at a July 10 reception at San Francisco’s City Club.

“Appointing Judy Belk was a bold move by TCWF’s board,” said Hershey. “Judy brings a fresh voice and innovative ideas about extending health care for all. I’m a fan and look forward to supporting her work. She is greatly respected in philanthropic circles nationally.”

Before joining TCWF in April, Belk served at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, helping build it into one of the nation’s largest independent nonprofit advisory firms by launching its West Coast and Midwest operations. She had also served as vice president of global public affairs at Levi Strauss & Co., overseeing both company and foundation efforts against AIDS, as well as leading its economic development, environmental and anti-racism initiatives.
