Jumpstart Co-Founder Shawn Landres Honored by Liberty Hill

We send a big congratulations to our good friend, Jumpstart co-founder and CEO Shawn Landres. Shawn was recently honored with Liberty Hill Foundation’s NextGen award for his significant social justice work in Los Angeles.

Hershey Cause recently partnered with Shawn and the Jumpstart teamto create and launch Connected to Give, a groundbreaking national study on the giving motivations of Jewish Americans.

A Santa Monica native, Shawn has been working with Jumpstart since 2008 to use research & publishing, convenings, education and innovative funding to connect, inform and empower more than 3,000 community leaders and more than 150 Jewish and interreligious initiatives around the world.

That is just the start of how Shawn is advancing social justice issues in Los Angeles. He was recently appointed by Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky to serve on the Quality and Productivity Commission. He co-chairs the Clinton Foundation Millennium Network Leadership Council. He is also a founding member and advisor to The HUB LA and an advisor to The Mother Company and InVenture.

For over 30 years, Liberty Hill has been advancing social change in Los Angeles Area through a strategic combination of grants, leadership training and campaigns. Hershey Cause recently worked with the Liberty Hill team to develop a communications platform that would refine Liberty Hill’s message for their 30th anniversary and increase donor support.
