New LASIF report shows breakthroughs in reversing L.A.'s college graduation crisis

At a time when 60% of L.A. County students who enter college don’t graduate, 82% of students who participate in programs funded by the Los Angeles Scholars Investment Fund (LASIF) do, according to a new progress report presented by California Community Foundation and the College Access Foundation of California and developed by Hershey Cause Communications.

With 2.3 million California jobs projected to go unfilled by 2025 due to a lack of workers with college degrees, it’s a vital issue to our region’s economic vitality.

This year, the investment fund provided $4.6 million in scholarships and operating support to 19 groundbreaking nonprofits with proven track records of success—far more than any individual scholarship fund, foundation or donor could do alone.
