The Social Capitalist Inspires Social Entrepreneurs and Nonprofits

You don’t have to start or work at a nonprofit to do good in the world.

In their new book, The Social Capitalist, Josh and Lisa Lannon explain how companies can help solve the world’s problems as part of their business model.

After Josh got sober 10 years ago, the couple wanted to assist others get their loved ones back. Josh a former nightclub owner and Lisa, a law enforcement officer, applied the Rich Dad principles to their social enterprise called the Journey Healing Centers, private drug and alcohol rehab centers located in Utah and Arizona.

The book features insights from social entrepreneurs across the world, including Hershey Cause Communications founder and president, R. Christine Hershey, who talked about what nonprofits can learn from the for-profit sector.
